I was asked to created a jQuery plugin for the Virginia based company SearchBlox. For those of you who don’t know, SearchBlox is a free out-of-the-box Enterprise Search Solution built on top of Apache Lucene.
The jQuery plugin provides the users search box with auto complete functionality, transforming JSONP from their web service into search suggestions and results. The plugin is very easy to configure, and can be used to add SearchBlox’s autocomplete functionality to any website.
The plugin has also been designed to support keypress navigation.
